Gitcoin Grants Round 1: Distribution Announcement
We are pleased to announce that the allocations of FTM for every project participating in the first Fantom Gitcoin Grants round have been made! Our team has worked diligently to complete the calculations and the funds have now been successfully distributed.
The Gitcoin Grants program, a joint effort by the Fantom Foundation and Gitcoin, supports projects on the Fantom platform through community funding; the program matches community donations to projects in grant rounds, promoting a rich and diverse ecosystem on the Fantom platform. This round, which concluded on January 2, demonstrates our commitment to this mission and we are proud to see it come to fruition.

For some projects, a number of donations were identified as Sybil transactions by Gitcoin, which attempted to manipulate the process to receive additional funding. To avoid penalizing these projects, we removed these donations from the count before calculating the matching funding.
The Fantom Foundation distributed the funds to each project on March 1, 2022. Be sure to follow us on Twitter and check your project wallets closely for the sent funds!
